Kitchen Remodeling

Designed around you. Built to last.

Real Deal Builders is a licensed general contractor specializing in high quality kitchen remodeling throughout the Santa Clarita Valley.

From a focused update to a complete renovation, we manage the entire project, including cabinets, countertops, plumbing, electrical, tile and finish work.

Every kitchen we take on starts with a written scope and a fixed price. We build with our own crews and bring in licensed specialists where the job calls for them, and the details get the attention: cabinets fitted to the actual room, countertops templated and set level, clean tile, and plumbing and electrical finished to code behind the walls.

Process

How a kitchen remodel comes together

Thoughtful Planning. Precise Execution.

Every kitchen remodel begins with a detailed consultation and a walk of the room. We learn how you cook, where the household collects, what is not working today, and what you want the finished space to do.

From there we write a specific scope and a fixed, written quote, so you understand the work and the price before demolition begins. Surprise costs on a kitchen usually come from a fuzzy scope, so we make the scope specific first and keep the decisions that move the price in front of you before they are made.

Right Trade. Right Time. Right Order.

With the plan set, we coordinate each phase in sequence, from demolition, framing, and layout changes through plumbing, electrical, HVAC, drywall, cabinetry, countertops, tile, flooring, paint, and finish work.

Rough plumbing and electrical are completed and inspected before the walls are closed, because that is the work you never get to see again. Only then do cabinets go in fit to the room, countertops get templated and set, and tile and trim get aligned. Building in this order is what keeps a kitchen from being torn back open later to fix something that was closed up too soon.

Cabinets, Counters, and the Island

Cabinets set both the look and the budget of a kitchen. We install kitchen cabinets fit to the actual room rather than forced from a stock size, so you gain the storage the space can really hold. Quartz countertop installation starts with a template of your real cabinet layout so the seams land where they belong. A kitchen island installation ties the plumbing, electrical, and seating into one clean plan rather than a countertop dropped over a base.

Kitchen backsplash installation and kitchen flooring installation are the finish moves that make a kitchen read as one room. We plan the tile layout so the pattern lines up at the edges, cut around outlets cleanly, and finish the transitions to the floor so the whole plane looks built rather than assembled. From the first walkthrough to the final detail, we manage it all.

FAQ

Common questions

The questions we hear most often, answered plainly. If your question is not here, call us and we will answer it the same way.

Do you handle a full kitchen remodel or just parts of it?

We handle the full kitchen remodel, from demolition through punch list. That includes cabinets, countertops, backsplash, island, kitchen flooring, plumbing and gas moves, electrical, lighting, and finish carpentry. One schedule, one point of contact who knows the whole plan.

Can you do a small kitchen remodel that keeps the existing layout?

Yes. A small kitchen remodel that swaps cabinets, counters, backsplash, and fixtures without moving walls or plumbing is a very common scope. It is faster and less expensive than a full layout redesign, and for a lot of homes it is the right project.

Do you do kitchen layout redesign and open concept conversions?

Yes. Where a wall can come out, we handle it correctly with an engineered beam sized to the span, proper support during the work, and the permits and inspections the change calls for. Opening a kitchen to the living space is a regular part of our kitchen work.

What countertop material do you recommend?

Quartz countertop installation is a popular choice today because it is durable, non porous, and low maintenance. Granite still has its place, and solid surface works for specific budgets and looks. We walk you through the trade offs and template every counter to the real cabinet layout so the seams land where they belong.

Do you install kitchen islands?

Yes. Kitchen island installation is one of the highest impact moves in a kitchen remodel. We plan the electrical for outlets, the plumbing if the island carries a sink, seating overhang, and how the pattern of the countertop reads. The island either anchors the room or feels dropped on. We build them so they anchor.

Do you handle plumbing and electrical, or do we hire that out?

We manage the full scope, including the plumbing and electrical trades. Rough in inspections happen while the walls are open, which is the right time to catch and correct anything the code officer flags. You deal with us, not three separate contractors.

Can we stay in the home during a kitchen remodel?

Usually yes. A kitchen remodel is one of the more disruptive projects because the room you cook in is offline, but we help you set up a temporary kitchen elsewhere in the house so meals stay possible, and we stage the work so the loudest, messiest days are planned in advance.

How long does a kitchen remodel take?

For a small kitchen remodel, we plan 4 to 6 weeks. For a typical one, we plan 6 to 9 weeks, and a full gut with layout changes can reach 10. Cabinet lead time is frequently the pacing factor rather than the site work itself. We give you a realistic schedule with the written quote.

How much does a kitchen remodel cost?

Cost is driven by the size of the kitchen, whether the layout changes, the cabinet line, the counter material, and how much plumbing and electrical moves. A cosmetic refresh, a full remodel, and a gut layout redesign are very different projects. We price against a specific written scope rather than a per square foot number so the quote reflects the real job.

Do we need a permit for our kitchen remodel?

A cosmetic refresh usually does not. Moving plumbing, moving gas, moving electrical panels, or removing a wall usually does. We tell you plainly which category your project falls into and coordinate the permit and inspections when the work needs them.

What is the difference between kitchen remodeling and a kitchen renovation?

In practice the terms are used the same way. Most people mean the whole project, from tearing out the old kitchen to installing the new one.

Do you offer a warranty on kitchen work?

Yes. We stand behind the work we install, and if something we built is not right, we come back and make it right. Manufacturer warranties on cabinets, counters, and appliances pass through to you separately.
